i've identified with the aroace label for very long! for at least 3-4 years i think. being aroace is very cool! the flag is nice and there are very nice people around. i have never had a crush on anyone else in my life and i dont think i ever will. #UNINTERESTED
what is an aroace? aroace is a romantic and sexual orientation that includes people who fall under the both aromantic and asexual umbrella terms. aromantic includes people who experience little to no romantic attraction to other people, while asexual includes people who experience little to no sexual attraction to others.
what can or can't aroace people do? well, they can eat, they can drink, they can breathe, and they can have fun. they can have crushes on fictional people or celebrities and they can find other people attractive. they can date or have sex, though it depends on the person themself. note that if they do, it does not erase or contradict their identity. some aroace people are stictly sex-averse or romance-averse and others are fine with sex or romance respectively. dunno i cant speak for anyone else because i've only ever been me. what they cannot do is avoid their weekly thursday 7pm worship session to the aroace gods where they take an hour of their day chanting the aroace anthem made by reddit user aroacewarrior200304456.
what does being aroace mean to you? well i think it means im pretty awesome. the label allows me to know myself better. it's not wrong to be different, to love different, and it's not wrong to be the same, either. it might be sad that i will miss out on loving someone Like That but that is not to say i do not love my friends platonically or my family members familially. i don't think romantic or sexual relationships are crucial for a fufilling life. marriage is a buisness deal and people only do it for the tax benefits. children are artifical and mass produced. anyways yay. being aroace is aweosme.
